“Kristina’s session on artivism is a poignant reminder of the value of centering creativity in our advocacy learning. Her session was informative and inspiring: perfect for educators who believe in the necessity of engaging student leadership today.”

I had the pleasure of getting to know Kristina in two capacities: as a parent and as an educator. I first met Kristina in 2019, when her daughter was in my class. She was warm, welcoming, and a pleasure to speak with. During this time, I discovered her unwavering commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ), as she generously shared a wealth of age-appropriate resources and materials on these topics. Our class borrowed numerous books from her, and I was inspired by her deep knowledge and passion for DEIJ.
In 2021, my professional relationship with Kristina evolved when I became her colleague in the middle school. As an educator, Kristina is incredibly engaged, motivated, and inspiring. She empowers her students to make real change, serves as a guide for DEIJ, and exhibits exemplary leadership qualities. Her extensive knowledge in all facets of DEIJ stems from her personal and professional experiences, and she serves as a vital resource to those around her. Kristina’s openness, honesty, and approachability make her an invaluable asset for problem-solving, navigating challenging circumstances, and having meaningful conversations about all things DEIJ.
